Ugh, what an awful, awful list. I wish I was only complaining about the order: Raimi over Eastwood? Snyder over Greengrass over Almodovar? RIDLEY SCOTT OVER TARANTINO, DEL TORO, EASTWOOD, ALMODOVAR, GREENGRASS... What's wrong with these guys? But let's be honest: we both lost all interest in the list's credibility when we say Jon Favreau's name at number 25. And can James Cameron really be called 'active'? Sure, he's 'working' on 'Avatar' (whatever that is), but his last movie was more than a decade ago! Sure, I appreciate the Spielberg plug (ultimately, that's all this list is, right?), but this is just shoddy list making all around. And where's Mallick? Where's Innaritu, or however you spell his name? Or that awesome guy who directed Children of Men and Y Tu Mama Tambien? ...I can't think about it any more. But it does look like we should work on our own list, doesn't it?
